2029 - It's time to have a Nomad Encounter and dive into Truk Lagoon, a world-renowned underwater time capsule where legendary shipwrecks, vibrant marine life, and World War II history come alive. Explore crystal clear tropical waters, uncover stories of the past, and embark on an unforgettable adventure beneath the surface. We will be diving down to see the ghost fleet of Truk Lagoon, the world’s best shipwreck destination. That’s only the beginning of our adventure. You’ll see an abundance of incredible tropical fish, anemones, gorgonians, and eagle rays. You'll have the option to dive at your leisure or borrow one of the experienced local dive guides who will show you all those places you wouldn't find on your own. On a normal itinerary all sites are within the recreational diving limits. Diving in Truk Lagoon is an adventure you will never forget. WWII wrecks are scattered across 77 square miles. The wrecks are covered with life. There are over 300 varieties of hard and soft corals. On the outer reef you'll find mountains of coral that stretch as far as the eye can see, and drops off into the abyss. Here it is not unusual to see pelagic sharks. DIVING INFORMATION: • Certification Requirements: Advanced certification and Nitrox are highly encouraged. • Number of Dives: There will be up to 5 dives a day. • Difficulty Level: The diving is generally easy to moderate in terms of ocean conditions. TRUK TRAVEL INFORMATION: VISA: Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. As a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa to enter Truk Lagoon (Chuuk) or any other part of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).
